Knowledge, team and reviews

Teach octokan your app, add teammates, speak every language, ask for reviews.

Run supabase/migrations/0011_knowledge_team_reviews.sql once to turn these on. Everything else keeps working without it.

What octokan knows about your app

Type your app or website on the homepage, or open Settings > Knowledge. Octokan reads your App Store or Google Play listing, recent Google Play reviews and your website (the home page plus help, FAQ, pricing and about pages on the same site). Reviews are public; only their rating and text are used, never the author. It shows what it learned before you sign up. If you give only a website, it uses the website alone. Pages drawn entirely by JavaScript may give little text, so add your own notes in Settings > Knowledge.

Questions it finds in your FAQ appear in the inbox as a one-tap answer when a visitor asks something similar. With AI Reply on, drafted replies also use this knowledge.

Team access

Settings > Team: add a teammate's email. When they sign in with that address, the app appears in their dashboard and they can read and answer conversations. Only the owner can change settings, the team or billing. There is no invitation email yet, so tell them to sign in.

Languages

Octokan keeps two AI switches per app so you control each one. AI insights (Settings > Data & privacy) powers Analytics. AI Reply (Settings > Replies & languages) powers drafted replies and translation.

The web chat shows in the visitor's browser language (English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Turkish, Indonesian, Russian, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Chinese). Force one with data-lang on the script tag. In the inbox, set your language in Settings > Replies & languages, then use Translate to read a visitor in your language and Send in their language to answer in theirs. Translating messages needs AI Reply turned on. The iOS, Android, React Native and Flutter SDKs show the chat in the device language (the same 14 plus English), and the dashboard itself is available in 9 languages from the account menu.

Ask for a review

Add your review links in Settings > Replies & languages. When a visitor sounds happy, or you resolve their chat, the inbox offers Ask for a review. One tap sends the link that fits their platform. You can dismiss it. Octokan never sends a review request by itself.
